Cool
For those of you who missed the show here's a quick rundown of some of the highlights.

We discovered that a new world record had been set for running the furthest distance whilst on FIRE! The new record is 79 meters but we recommend you don't try that one at home.

We also found out that Soay sheep in Scotland are now 5% smaller than they were 24 years ago which researchers claim is because of global warming. (You can get away with anything if you say "researchers claim").

And in a true news stylee.....Finally we learned what happened to the man who boarded his flight and then proceeded to take all his clothes off. All that and a lot more besides.

For those of you who like to play the Lyric Game tonight's lyrics were "I'm sorry I don't pray that way". I'll reveal the answer on the blog tomorrow.

Tara.
Amongst the highlights from tonight's show were the 18 year old who found some "artistic" photos of his mum and decided to sell them on the Internet and was then surprised when his mum encouraged him by giving him some more to sell. A Malaysian judge who was told not only could he not sentence people to the cane but he could also NOT do it himself and the spiritual healer who set fire to one of his patients!

The answer to yesterday's lyric game song was Tainted Love by Soft Cell/Gloria Jones.

The lyric game tonight was the line "I had dreams they were clouds in my coffee". Answer after next Monday's show.

Have a great weekend!
After last night's show it occurred to me that there may be people out there who play the "Lyric Game" from this very page without experiencing the joy of listening to it "on radio". Don't be shy! Come and join us!!

Anywho, the answer to last week's Lyric Game was indeed "You're So Vain" by Carly Simon. A song supposedly about a famous American actor!

On last night's show we talked about a cat that was found 102 miles away from it's home because it had gone to the seaside. The bank robber who attempted to make his getaway by asking a policeman for a lift. And the woman who was accidentally shot in the leg whilst using the lavatory!

Now for those of you who don't listen in to play the Lyric Game here is last night's lyric. "No show Wednesday girl waits with the wine...She knows just what to say". I deliberately leave any punctuation out so as to not give you any clues.

Hope to see you tonight!
The weirdest things come across the YARN desk in our pursuit of the weirdest news we can find and moisteuriser for elephant bottoms must be just about the weirdest one I've ever seen. It's TRUE! Elephants in Belfast Zoo have had their very own moisteuriser developed for them! It really makes you wonder how the elephants in the dry landscape of Africa manage!

Coming in a close second was the news that cyclists or people who use public transport to visit a Berlin brothel get a 5 Euro discount!

Anyway, back to the Lyric Game. The one I left you with yesterday was, of course (I say "of course" like everyone knows it) "We Close Our Eyes" by Go West. Did you get it? If you did, enjoy a ripe banana as celebration.

The teaser from last night was "Greeted at the back door with I thought I told you not to go outside" (grammar removed to make it harder). Answer next week!

Until then, enjoy listening to MTJR and have a great weekend! Apparently it's going to be wet here.
Talking of being late, which we weren't, reminded me of the John Cleese film called Clockwise. Ther basic guide to the story is that he is headmaster of a school and he is obsessed by being on time for everything. One slip up on the way to a conference throws everything out of sync. Anyway, back to my point. The point being is that, as it says in the film, that it's funny how we always instinctively know when a moment has passed, almost like a sixth sense!

In last night's show amongst the gay Penquins and the strange places to hide a Kinder surprise egg was the Lyric Game. Last week's lyric was from the fabulous Stevie Wonder song called "I Wish" but your poser for today has the lines "And mother feels so shocked Father’s world is rocked". As a tiny hint for you it knocked Gary Numan off the top spot in the UK charts and was, in turn, removed from that top spot by Cliff Richard.

Answers and more jabber tommorrow!

Yummy. I like the blue ones!

Anyhow, when I say I really like this "job", I mean I REALLY like this "job"! Where else could I find such wonderfully stupid news as the man that has stolen 1,000 pairs of mens' underpants in an eighteen month crime spree? Where else could I find out about the undercover cops that arrested an....er...undercover cop? And where else could I find out about the man that was "tazered" by the police and set on fire?

Where else indeed?

The Boomtown Rats and "I Dom't Like Mondays" was yesterdays Lyric Game answer but last night's must be the easiest one I've ever done. The line supplied is "I love and I leave them break their hearts and deceive them". No clues for that one because it's too damn easy. Tune in next Monday night from 9pm (UK Time) for the next thrilling installment and also the second play of our other new feature known as "Dude! Where's my intro?". Until till then, stay safe and eat more cucumber.
