BUPA Great South Run - places available
Starlight still has a very small number of guaranteed charity places left available for the Great South Run 2009. If you would like one you need to be quick and APPLY NOW!
Great South Run - 25 October 2009 (Starlight deadline 28 August)
By running for Starlight, you can take strength from the fact that you will be helping a seriously ill child with cancer or other illnesses to live their dream and face the future with a smile... what more incentive do you need? Doctors and nurses who treat seriously ill children say that happy children respond better to treatment. So when a child is not responding to chemotherapy, can a dip with a dolphin do the trick? Starlight thinks it can.
We currently have over 200 seriously and terminally ill children waiting to have their wish granted and by choosing Starlight you would be helping us to make those wishes a reality.
We pay for your place and you raise funds to help grant a magical wish for a desperately ill child. We will provide support, running vests/t-shirts, fundraising packs, and training and nutritional advice. All we ask is that you raise a minimum amount of sponsorship.
